I really like going to Creekside for engagement sessions. The place is easy to park lots of woods, concrete paths, bridges, red bricks, and a fun couple like Kelly and Tyler! I had a great time with these two. I met them at a bridal show earlier this year and are fun to hang around. Below are just a few of my favorite images from the engagement session.
Megan and Dennis's wedding at Creekside in Gahanna was a pleasure to shoot. Their wedding party was fun to work with and they could not have picked a better day for it. I can't wait to make their album and show it to them. We started at Yudu Salons located on the second floor of Creekside Conference Center. The salon was perfect for taking photos of the dress beforehand and it had lots of window light. We then went upstairs to take a look at the cake and ceremony site. Everything looked great. I couldn't thank the Creekside staff enough for making everything go smoothly and look great! Before the ceremony I got a few photos with all the bridesmaids and groomsmen outside. Their ring bearer was their son and was so funny coming down the aisle I with I had a video camera. The ceremony was perfect and after all the hugs we went outside to take a few more portraits before the sun went down. Congratulations to Megan and Dennis!
Brian Kellogg were the photographers for this wedding. Their Work can be found at Columbus Ohio Wedding Photography.
Creekside is a great place for engagement sessions. There are not too many other photographers and people on the paths here so I am free to roam around. The woods are great contrast from downtown and it is easy for any couple to relax. The parking is always free with the garage so it makes it easy with all of my equipment. Can you tell I really like Creekside? We started the engagement session walking around the paths with Ashley and Tony. I always like the bridges and dirt paths in the back as well as the paved paths. It gets a little bit darker back there so I can control the light with my umbrella. After Creekside we met back up downtown and got some great shots of them on Nationwide Blvd. I also tried a few different things putting the flash behind them and have a nice blue sky above them. Below are just a few of my favorite photographs from that day.
Amy and Ty's wedding at Creekside was perfect. The first look to the end of the reception everything turned out great! Amy and Ty's first look was at St. Joseph Cathedral and Ty wore his Army uniform. They were both smiling ear to ear. We then took a few photos let them talk for a minute and started to take a few more portraits. We then had the ceremony. I stayed to the back of the church the entire time so it does not distract anyone. We had their exit from the church and went to Nationwide Blvd Archway, OSU football stadium, and Creekside Conference Center for more portraits. I'm glad there was plenty of time in between the ceremony and reception to do all of this because the photos turned out great! Congratulations Amy and Ty! Have fun in Hawaii!
I absolutely loved shooting Erica and Adam's engagement session. Erica mentioned to me that she wanted to do the engagement session when there was snow on the ground. We got lucky and had six inches fall a few days before the session. The photos turned out better than I imagined. We Started at the Creekside Conference Center to walk around the paths through the woods. We then headed downtown for a beautiful sunset on Nationwide and finished up at COSI overlooking the Columbus skyline. I was a little cold but everything turned out great.
