Franklin Park Conservatory Wedding Album

Franklin Park Conservatory is one of my favorite wedding venues in Columbus. The venue has several different locations for wedding ceremonies and receptions. I looked through all of my weddings I have photographed there in the past and made a sample album for the venue. This album covers three weddings in the Palm House, Bridal Garden, West Terrace, and the Veridian. If you want to see this album in person ask for it at the Franklin Park Conservatory. I will have a copy in their office sometime next week.

The Boat House Wedding with Amie and Michael

I had a great time with Amie and Michael at the Boat House a few weeks ago. The Boat House was previously known at the River Club until it changed it’s name recently. The view of the city is amazing and very few reception halls like the Boat House has this view. It was my goal this time to get a great photo of the bride and groom with the city in the background and I finally nailed it. I started my day at the Marriott in Dublin, Ohio. I photographed the dress hanging up and took a few other photos at Amie was getting ready for the wedding. The rings with her shoes also came out great. I then traveled on down to the Boat House. I got some nice photos of the cake with the city in the background as everything was coming together. I also got some outside photographs of the wedding party before the wedding. The ceremony was beautiful and the reception was a lot of fun. I took them outside for one final photo of the Columbus, Ohio Skyline in the background. Congratulations Amie and Michael!

Landoll's Mohican Castle Wedding with Ashley and Alan

Ashley and Alan are a great fun couple. I had a blast with them! Alan's expression in their first look was great. All the details with this wedding were also a lot of fun. The bridesmaids had colorful noisemakers for bouquets. Alan's shoes and portraits were also a lot of fun as well. Landoll's Mohican Castle was an awesome backdrop for their wedding. Amelita Mirolo Barn Wedding with Natalie and Rob

The Amelita Mirolo Barn is wonderful for small weddings up to 150 people. The location is great with the patio and the concrete paths all around the facility. If you decorate this place the way Natalie and Rob did you will have a fantastic wedding. Natalie's wedding looked great with all the details a photographer could ever ask for. From the sparklers to the corks holding place cards it turned out to be a great wedding at the barn. Below are a few of my favorite photos from their wedding at the Amelita Mirolo Barn.

The Hilton at Polaris Wedding Venue

The Hilton at Polaris is another wonderful venue I love photographing. They have large and small ballrooms that can fit any size wedding reception or ceremony. The catering there looks like art. I like the lobby with all the artwork on the wall. It is perfect for casual portraits. They always have the room ready before the guests arrive so I have time to photograph all the details beforehand. The staff does such a great job here. I couldn’t recommend this venue enough.

COSI - Downtown Columbus Wedding Venue

COSI (Center of Science and Industry) is located downtown Columbus off of Broad street. COSI is great for weddings for several reasons. The size of the rooms are huge and can hold up to 300 people. Weddings can be held outside under tents and can hold up to 800! The view at during the day and night at COSI is amazing. The Columbus downtown cityscape is picturesque. When you have a wedding here can also walk around to other exhibits such as Progress and outside to lift a car. This venue is so much fun you and your guests will have a blast!

Franklin Park Conservatory - Wedding Venue

Franklin Park Conservatory is a great venue for weddings. I wanted to combine all of my blog posts into one page that has over seventy images. Franklin Park Conservatory has around 200 weddings a year. The Palm House is nice and large enough to accommodate most weddings. It does get warm in the summer months but it is gorgeous location for a wedding ceremony. At night the Palm House glows magnificently. The Brides Garden is also a nice location that can hold from 50 up to 100 people. The Veridian is also a nice place for an inside reception. Below are a few of my favorite images from the Franklin Park Conservatory.

Emily and Ryan's Wedding at the Columbus Greek Orthodox

Emily and Ryan's Wedding was one of my favorite weddings of 2011. Every photo looked like it was portfolio worthy. I think I might make a studio sample album out of this wedding. We started at the Hampton Inn on High street to photograph Emily getting her hair done and a few dress photos. I also love to do commercial work with gifts when ever I get a chance. I had the opportunity to do this with the perfume that Emily received as a gift. I really liked how it turned out. We then traveled to the St. Francis of Assisi Church. The church had such a wonderful glowing light to it from the stain-glass windows on the left hand side. It was perfect because I never use flash during the ceremony. After the ceremony we went to Goodale Park for a few portraits. I took one of my favorite photos of 2011 here. I might get a copy for my wall. When we were walking around the reception hall for a few last second portraits and I was so glad we did. I captured another great photo with the Short North sign in the background along with and beautiful sunset. We arrived at the Greek Orthodox Church Reception Hall and I set up right away for the first dance. I put a remote flash behind them and got some great photos out of that as well. Kaylan and Kevin's River Club Wedding

I really enjoyed Kaylan and Kevin's Wedding at the River Club at Confluence Park. The view was spectacular! The food was amazing and Kaylan and Kevin were a lot of fun to work with. We started to get ready at the Overbrook Presbyterian Church on 4131 N. High Street. The ceremony was beautiful and I got some great photos of the flower girl along with their exit from the church. We then traveled to Nationwide Blvd Arch Park. The photos that I got from here are some of my favorite from all year. I love it when the entire wedding party lines up and I tell them to start laughing at each other. It breaks the ice and everyone has fun doing it. When then do all the other fun shots along with some romantic photos of just Kaylan and Kevin together. We then went to River Club at Confluence Park for the wedding reception. As I said before the view was awesome and the reception was fantastic. I back lit their first dance and loved it. The staff at the River Club were great as well. I just wish I had more weddings there because there are so many portrait locations I would love to try. Below are just a few of my favorite photos from their wedding. Katie & Justin's Wedding at Galbreath Chapel in Athens, Ohio

Katie and Justin are one of my best clients of this year. They are such a great couple to work with. I love Athens, Ohio weddings so much because everything is so close to each other and there are so many locations around campus that are just beautiful. The weather for the wedding was perfect and we even had Rufus (the Ohio University Bobcat) join us for a few portraits. We started the day at the Ohio University Inn for the wedding dress photos along with a few getting ready shots. We then went to Emeriti Park for a few portraits with Rufus. The ceremony was held at Galbreath Chapel on the Ohio University Campus. I love that the light shined down on their hands during the ceremony. After the ceremony we went to a few locations. We covered College Green, Ellis Hall, Alden Library, and finished up on Court Street. The reception was held at the OU Inn and everyone had a blast!
