Mansfiled Ohio Wedding with Ashley and Skyler

I had a great time with Ashley and Skyler this past weekend. They are a great couple and I really liked photographing their engagement session last year. We started with the getting ready photos at the First Church of God in Shelby, Ohio. I love the photo of Ashley's shoe with a penny taped to the sole of the shoe. I took the groomsmen outside for a few fun portraits. I did the same with the girls inside the church and the photos came out fantastic. After the ceremony we covered all the family shots and hustled on over to the reception at the Ontario Event Center. This is the reception center of the Brown Derby Roadhouse in Ontario, Ohio. I liked that the bridal party girls all had sunglasses for their entrance. I also liked the favors along with the fox cake topper. Congratulations Ashley and Skyler Fox!

Columbus Ohio Fog in the Morning

I really like the Scioto Mile in downtown Columbus and I finally got down there for a beautiful foggy morning. I started by the River Club where I cover a lot of weddings during the year. I then traveled to one of the train track bridges in Columbus. I had to move quickly because the sun was coming up and the fog was starting to lift. I hustled with my tripod and camera and found some great shots along the bike path. I surprised on how great the photos turned out. Ohio University Inn Weddings - Athens, Ohio

Ohio University Inn is a great venue for Athens Ohio weddings. The venue is located with in walking distance from the Ohio University Campus off of Richland Ave. Their back patio is newly remodeled with a dark stone that cuts down on glare and looks great. The ballroom has plenty of space for most weddings. I always love to go back to Athens for weddings because my parents still live in the area and it will always be my hometown. The location is great for guests that want to stay the night and not worry about driving. The Ridges, Peden Stadium, and College Green are just a short drive away from the hotel. When you are looking to have your ceremony or reception in Athens you have to check out the OU Inn. It is one of the best venues in Athens, Ohio.

Cincinnati Ohio Wedding Photographer - Taft Museum of Art

The Taft Museum of Artb is a great Cincinnati Ohio venue. Everywhere I turned I saw another photo opportunity. Not too many people know this but I travel all over the state with no travel charge. I love photographing weddings in Cincinnati and Cleveland Ohio. It is nice to get out of Columbus and try something new. The Taft Museum of Art has a great grass area and back patio that can be covered with a tent and decorated very easily. I like the seating and the staff was very accommodating. When you are looking for a venue in Cincinnati Ohio check out the Taft Museum of Art.

Pinnacle Golf Club Weddings

Pinnacle Golf Club is a great venue located in Grove City, Ohio. The arches in the front of the venue are perfect for portraits. There are three places you can have your weddings ceremony and /or reception at this venue. The Ballroom is great for ceremonies and of course your reception. The outside patio in the back is great for your ceremony as well. The brick archway and golf course is a perfect background for photography and your guests. The third location is up on the second story deck and it has the best view for all of your guests you can only seat about 40-50 people comfortably up there. If you have a small wedding it is perfect. The portraits that I get from here are amazing. The wonderful architecture of the Pinnacle and the golf course in the background is a great location for any wedding.

Creekside Weddings in Gahanna, Ohio

Creekside is a great venue on the east side of Columbus. Parking is conveniently located right below the wedding venue. During the day the natural light from all the windows give the reception hall a great look. The evening Creekside has LED lighting that can turn into any color above the dance floor. The effect makes people want to get up and dance. If you are having an evening event at Creekside you should get your DJ to provide color up-lighting against the wall. It make creekside look even more spectacular. The surrounding area around Creekside is perfect for engagement sessions and wedding portraits. Columbus Athenaeum Weddings

The Columbus Athenaeum is another wonderful reception hall that is located off of 4th street in downtown Columbus, Ohio. You can walk a short distance to Capitol Square by the State House for some wonderful portraiture. The stairwell and the lobby are also great locations for taking photos. This wedding venue has so much space. Some rooms such as the Large Theatre can hold over 1,000 people and seat 300. Along with the space it has beautiful hardwood floors and smaller spaces for more intimate events. If you are searching for a venue with some great history and large ballrooms this is one wedding venue you will have to see.

Heritage Golf Club Weddings - Hilliard Ohio

Heritage Golf Club is one of the best golf clubs in Hilliard Ohio to have your reception or ceremony. The staff is top notch and Jody is amazing to work with. I wish I had more weddings at this venue. The golf course is perfect for photos with all the wooden bridges and the small pond. The sunset photo below is one of my favorite wedding photographs I have ever taken. The clients that I have at this location are some of the best I have ever had. I am always excited to with the staff and the clients that choose this location for their reception. This is definitely in my top five reception venues in Columbus.

Taylor Mansion Weddings - Columbus Ohio

Taylor Mansion might be the best place for smaller weddings. Located right across from Franklin Park off of Broad Street east of downtown. This wonderful wedding venue is beautiful for outside weddings using the Taylor Mansion's facade. The inside is spacious and you can have a tent in the back to have the reception. The pathways and brickwork are great outside accents that add to the Taylor Mansion. The location is also great if you wanted to walk across the street to get a few great portraits at the Franklin Park Conservatory or travel five minutes to downtown.

Galbreath Chapel Weddings - Athens Ohio

Galbreath Chapel is one of the most popular places in Athens to get married. The Chapel is nice and can be decorated to your liking. The chapel can hold up to 150 guests. The chapel is located right off of College Green the center of campus. The location is perfect for portraits. During the day the light from the large windows give the chapel a nice warm feel. The preparation rooms are nicely decorated and located downstairs. The balconly is great for a wide photo of all the wedding guests when the ceremony is taking place. Galbreath Chapel is one of the best places to get married in Athens, Ohio.
